"Villa Dryanoybaina",

the traditional accommodation of Ntourbalis family, is located in Portaria on mount Pelion. The old name of Portaria (Byzantine age) is "Ano Dryanoybaina".

Nowadays, after the rearrangements by the "Kapodistria" law, Portaria became a municipality along with the settlements of Stagiates, Katixori, and Alli Meria. Its total population is over 3000 people, and seems to have entered a new age of development.

Here you can find the town hall, the primary school, a police station, a community clinic, a pharmacy, a post office, a cash machine, the folklore and history museum, many restaurants, hotels and other hospitality accommodations and a lot of establishments for activities like sports, skiing, excursions, conferences, etc.
